Tobin is a recording artist trying to raise enough money and awareness to hire a touring band. Tobin has a new marketing approach: roughly 75% of person-to-person album profits go to the street team who sell the album.
Tobin is exhausted: his first solo album, Before They Found Me Out, is entirely performed, mixed, and mastered by him. Having been in bands where he lacked creative control, Tobin knew he needed to create a successful album that clearly showed his vision before he could find other members that align with his vision.
Tobin hails from the progressive rock band Afterward. Afterward played up and down the California coast, toured Mexico, had radio play, and their song “Start Over” was featured on Mini Driver’s FX show, “The Riches.” Recently, Afterward, now The Afterward, recorded at Abbey Road Studios, accumulated 750,000 Facebook likes, and had the number one world album in two different countries on iTunes.
Tobin continues to work simultaneously on future releases.
